Welcome to SteveZero's Domain. . .

My name is Steve, and, well, obviously, there is nothing much here right now. However, this will change in the near-ish future. In the meantime, the word is that I'm a PhD student on 'academic leave' from U.C. Berkeley currently working in the information retrieval/search industry.

This page will be updated soon with some of the projects I'm working on.

Laura, Mary and I took some time out to kick it on Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan. We had a fantastic time. Take a moment to read about it at my Japan 20009 trip page.

Mary and I recently wandered around the UK--specifically, England, Scotland, and Wales. We had a blast. You can read about it at our Europe 2008 trip page.

In 2007, Mary and I took some time to wander around northern Europe. It was an amazing (and amazingly packed) trip. Read about it at my Europe 2007 trip page.

My brother and I spent a few weeks checking out some of the major cities in Asia. You can check out my notes on our trip (along with my brother's photography) at our Asia2006 trip page.

In 2005, I took the mother of all trips and spent more than a month backpacking from Madrid to Athens. I took pictures and wrote some stuff about it, which you can find on Steve's 2005 Europe Trip page.
